| Summary: | A large London based charity are seeking a Facilities Officer to join their busy facilities team in their modern Central London H.Q. Reporting to the Facilities manager, you would be responsible for ensuring the provision of excellent customer service whilst supporting the Facilities Manager in providing the services of the facilities team.
Main Responsibilities include: • To provide excellent customer service to their Head Office building for staff, volunteers and visitors as a member of the Facilities Department • Ensure that the security, safety, access and egress and general upkeep of the building is maintained to the highest standards wherever possible • Support the Facilities Manager in carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance works and projects. • Manage the day to day activities of all contractors including callouts • To support the generation of income via their meeting facilities • To provide excellent services to our tenants adhering to service level agreements. Key Dimensions 1. Responsibility for the performance of planned and reactive maintenance plans, upkeep of meeting rooms and archives, and co-ordinating moves within the building including the following specific tasks: o Ensure timely completion of all legal and compliance tests required within the building and planned out remedial works following tests and audits etc. o Maintain all technical documentation relating to the building, including HVAC system and more importantly all legislative certifications. 2. To support colleagues in the Facilities Department in carrying out their specific responsibilities: o Health and Safety, access and egress, fire and evacuation 3. To deliver to agreed targets within the Facilities Department and reporting on tasks and projects until completion. 4. Manage and supervise contractors as necessary including contract renewal processes supported by the Facilities Manager. The successful post holder will possess strong maintenance skills with the experience in carrying out hands on work alongside experience in providing cover for security function, acting as fire marshall and being a key holder for out of hours emergencies.
